Nogales-Ruby Highway (SR 289) – 1-19 to Pena Blanca Lake

Scope of Work

To preserve the area surrounding Pena Blanca Lake, Whelcon Contractors LLC was contracted to perform work on a concrete ford wall, embankment curb, headwall, and inlets and outlets. This work spans roughly 7 miles from State Route 289 to Pena Blanca Lake.

• Removal of 130 Linear Feet of Concrete Ford Wall
• Removal of the present Inlet and Outlet Spillway Structures
• Installation of 1,730 Linear Feet of 2-foot Depth Concrete Ford Wall
• Installation of 1,730 Linear Feet of 4-foot Depth Concrete Ford Wall
• Installation of 6,543 Linear Feet of Embankment Curb
• Installation of 865 Linear Feet of Embankment Spillway
• Framework and Installation of 19 Inlet and Outlet Structures
