3rd Street and Treat Avenue Bicycle Boulevards

Scope of Work

Whelcon participated in the demolition and reconstruction of ADA-compliant sidewalks for Bike Boulevard, which ran through 3rd Street, spanning from Main Avenue to Wilmot Road, and Treat Boulevard, which ran from Rillito River Park to Aviation Bikeway. This reconstruction of the bicycle path included the installment of new chicanes, roundabouts, and turn tables all throughout the miles this project spanned. Additionally, this project included rework of major road crosswalks, including stripping and concrete foundation for new traffic signs.
